Matcha is a superhero amongst teas. 100% ground green tea leaves from Nishio, Japan - essentially a super-concentrated green tea containing natural green tea flavonoids (catechins).
Matcha tea bushes are grown under shade to increase their chlorophyll content and then ground by granite stones into a super fine powder. So when you drink matcha, you're ingesting every little bit of lovely green tea good stuff. That's why we call it super power green tea.
100% pure organic matcha powder. Nothing added.
Contains EGCG, L-Theanine (catechins or flavonoids) and beta carotene.
Our match is premium grade (that means it's top notch).
Full 1g matcha serving in every sachet (daily dose!).

mix with Earl grey and some milk
It's delicious mixed with Earl grey and tiny bit of goats milk. Hopefully mixing it with hot water and tea doesn't ruin the benefits. i love it first thing in the morning and gets me raring to go.
a marked decline in quality
I've been using this brand for a couple of years now and have noticed a real drop off in the quality of the product. It tends to come out lumpy and doesn't mix well even in a 750ml bottle of water! There are better (and cheaper) alternatives to this brand so I won't be buying the Teapigs version anymore.
Want to like them
These do help to get me through the afternoon slump and I feel as if they let me down more gently than coffee, although that may be because the blurb somewhere suggested it. I don't like the taste at all, though. I usually take it as a shot to get it over with quickly. The only way I managed to get rid of the taste was to stir it into a flavoured yoghurt. I like the portable format. Not sure if I will buy again. If you like the taste, you're lucky.
Pick me up!
I don't drink daily as it's expensive, but when I do it's because I am flagging. 3pm slump at work and BOOM, I am good to carry on until home time! I add milk and hot water and also carry a sachet with me wherever I go. I took a bottle of it ready made up Snowdon this weekend and had it at the top and I swear it helps! Really keeps me going. Swear by it. Also it tastes ok! Smooth, and just like normal every day tea when made with milk and hot water. I love Teapigs products.
Says you can add it to hot or cold water, juice or milk. I added it to fresh orange juice and the taste did not come through the orange flavour. Tried it with cold water and I really didn't like the flavour on its own. Antioxidant properties are why I would have this. It takes a bit to get it mixed though as sinks to the bottom of the glass. Quite handy in a pouch.
I normally like green tea. I made this with cold water and ended up with a green sludge with foam on the top. The flavour was quite unpleasant and the powder had not dissolved at the bottom. Would not get again.
