Perfect solution if you hate cooking rice
This is a great option if, like us, you cant cook rice well. We have been using microwave bags of rice for year but were conscious of the waste plastic bags and the expense. I saw this rice cooker which had great reviews and thought it was worth a try. So glad we did as its great and really works. Sometimes it needs longer to cook than the guidelines as it depends on the rice used, but its a great purchase, each to use and clean.
great grain cooker
Ive never cooked rice in the microwave before, and had my doubts, but this was fantastic! Ive done rice, bulgar, barley, etc and it was all great. Wild rice iffy, but then its always temperamental. It even stays nicely warm in the microwave for a bit. And I love the bright red!
Makes perfect rice. One part washed rice to two parts water. Done. I had an electric rice cooker which was rubbish. Saucepan with foil was ok but not great. This makes the best rice.
Great for popcorn
Makes wonderful popcorn in microwave
Purchased as I'm useless at cooking rice on the hob. Having read other reviews, I cooked the rice using 1 part rice to 2 parts water and comes out perfectly each time. Really fantastic product and highly recommended!
this is amazing
Really glad I bought this - it has made cooking rice a doddle. I agree with other reviewers that it's better to measure by volume rather than weight. It's so easy to clean and I no longer waste rice on the bottom of the pan! I've cooked white and brown basmati as well as hom mali rice with great results - oddly, though, Tilda rice seemed to not want to play ball with this cooker, though that could be the batch I had. Not tried it yet, but you can also cook polenta, cous cous etc in this...
