mixed results

Ive ticked yes but Im on the fence to recommending this product to a friend. The mini omelettes are excellent and for my tastes, make the product worth while. The poached eggs on the other hand are rubbish, Ive tried following instructions to the letter, slight alterations and the results are the same, not great. However, like I said, the mini omelette it produces are very good.

Actually rather useful!

Was a bit wary of buying yet another useless plastic gadget, but this has been an absolute godsend tbf! So much so, Ive even got my teenage son using it independently to make a 1 min breakfast before school. I cheat and use two eggs, chop up tiny quantities of pepper/ mushrooms/cheese/pancetta/asparagus plus a wee dribble of cream(basically whatever is left over in the fridge) and cook for 50 seconds, stir then zap another 50 seconds and it turns out a pretty good Spanish style omelette. ( Ive got a 900 watt microwave) You dont burn your fingers, the red plastic thing is so easy to clean and I now leave it by the microwave, as its being used every day!

Great, easy way to cook eggs

This makes great omelettes, scrambled eggs and poached eggs (which Ocado has described as flat eggs for some weird, unknown reason). Not sure why people are trying to make fried eggs in this. It is literally impossible to make fried eggs any way other than by frying the egg which requires a frying pan. To make scrambled eggs you break an egg or 2 into the dish, add a splash of milk (or alternative) and mix with a fork. Open vent and microwave for 40 seconds, stir with a fork, cook for another 40 seconds or so, and stir with a fork again. The microwave wattage is not stated on the packaging but it does clearly say that Microwave times may vary. So if your eggs are not cooked in the times stated then you will need to cook them for a little longer. The time will also vary depending on how many eggs you use, what size your eggs are and what temperature they are.

Does not cook fried eggs

I was so excited to make fried eggs in this. I followed the instructions to the letter. I wasted several eggs and it still didnt successfully cook any of them. The outside part and Yolk were well cooked but the bit of egg around the yolk was still complete liquid - it wasnt even white. Waste of my money.
