really nice coconut
I tried this and I was surprised how good it was. You can just pull the amount you want from the freezer. I love coconut I just need to find some good recipes to use it more. I will definitely buy it again you get loads in the pack. And keeps good in the freezer
Great product - 100% shredded coconut
This is a brilliant product and so easy to use. Great in porridge in the morning and a perfect addition when making Granola. Yes, it is frozen in one whole chunk but it is really easy to separate after a quick blast in the microwave to partially thaw and then pulled apart with a pair of forks. The bag it comes in is resealable so it can go back in the bag and back in the freezer.
Best frozen coconut
Negative reviews on this product are excessive, so I thought I had to post this. This is the best frozen shredded coconut I have had in ages. 1. This is not desiccated coconut as it has not been dehydrated. This is fresh coconut that is shredded and frozen. 2. To the person who asked for ingredients list, it is just shredded coconut. 3. To the person who said it goes off quickly, this is supposed to be kept frozen. If you store it in fridge, it will go off quickly. Yes it comes in a big lump which is an issue when you just need little bit at a time. Packaging needs improving. Other than that I am happy with the product and will continue to buy.
Not nice
I understand food products are very subjective as we all have different tastes but this was disappointing, it's just desiccated coconut frozen, not what I was hoping for. If I wanted desiccated I'd have bought the cupboard stuff which I never buy anyway as I don't like it. This went in the bin sadly.
Huge pieces\/shreds
I was pleased to see this being stocked. However, with the brand being South Asian, I was expecting the pieces to be tinier, as with previous packets bought at local ethnic shops. These were thick and long, making it unfit for extracting coconut milk and dry frying for using in Malay and Indonesian recipes. I could zap it in a food processor first, but defetas the purpose of buying ready shredded coconut.
