Additional Information:
The seasons of Japan are alive in every sip of Roku gin. Crisp and clean, each sip sparkles with six Japanese botanicals: after all, Roku means “six” in Japanese. Floral notes of cherry blossom are met with the fresh and herbal aroma of green tea. Serve in a gin and tonic, poured over ice and garnished with thin slices of ginger. Roku's botanicals are harvested at the peak of their season, or "shun". This imparts rich flavor, leading to Roku gin winning loyal fans across the globe.
Brand
The Torii Shoten Store, the predecessor of Suntory, opened in 1899 as a result of the dream of young Shinjiro Torii, who at the age of 20 wanted to "create original Japanese Spirits the whole world can enjoy, uniquely made from Japan's nature and her people."
Shinjiro overcame numerous hardships to make his dream a reality, creating wine, whisky and brandy, and launching the first Suntory gin in 1936. Shinjiro and his successors continued to work hard on building a deep knowledge of distilling alcohol. The creation and perfection of ROKU are based on more than 100 years of distilling expertise.
"Someday, spirits produced in Japan will be loved all over the world." Shinjiro Torii
ROKU is the result of an history of over a century of dreams.

Just tastes like vodka
Gin is my drink of choice these days (as clean spirits seem to leave me feeling much better the next day) so I've been trying quite a few. This was the strangest one I've tried. If you'd blindfolded me I'd have said it was a decent vodka not gin. I'm not really a vodka fan though so didn't really like it. Martin Miller's gin is still my go-to (although finding it cheap has become tricky!).
Not the best
Not knowing this is gin, it can be mistaken for a vodka. Nothing special to be honest
Good, but much cheaper elsewhere
Sadly Ocado is here more expensive than the other shops.
Great gin
Lovely taste, nice and smooth. Best served with tonic and a slice of ginger
High quality gin
Very smooth and very good depth of flavours. Nice neat over ice or with a light tonic and lemon. Priced quite reasonably.
Excellent gin!
Better than expected, what a great surprise! It's smooth, balanced... just delightful!
