decent relacement for delisted Tetley squash
Ocado has delisted the Tetley berry burst squash which we liked and this is a closeish substitute, but without the added vitamins.
okay
I don't think it will.ever be a regular for us. I do buy it from them to time as kids seem to like it but the aftertaste is just unbearable.
Artificial taste, sweet but not fruity
I am reviewing this product because I received a free sample from Ocado. I’ve been intrigued by these little offerings for a number of years but never took the risk of disappointment. Thankfully I did the right thing because this product is not good by any standard. The artificial taste is most unpleasant and leaves you thirsty. It s flavour is Acesulfame K and has only a very faint hint of real fruit. Nasty after taste too so nothing good to be seen here. Acesulfame K /Aspartame is toxic chemical warfare on the human body so it should be kicked back into the 1970s where it belongs!! If I wanted to be embalmed early I would certainly go out drinking something better than this….naughty Britvic…
Unpleasant
Completely agree with another reviewer who said the artificial sweetener is overpowering. This doesn't taste remotely of any fruit, all it tastes of is sweetness. Two stars only because I don't like plain water so this is still preferable, but barely.
why add sweeteners? especially Acesulfame K
many people have sensitivities or allergies to aspartame and Acesulfame K. this includes myself and my daughter I'm now having to look for another summer fruits. my daughter has had a migraine for 2 days because of this I did not notice
Very disappointed in the recipe change!
I was getting ready to stock up on these when I noticed the packaging had changed and I got a bad feeling. My suspicions were confirmed when I checked the ingredients and was disappointed to see that Acesulfame K has been added. Two of the reasons I buy the Squash'd is they're convenient and unlike the rest of Robinson's "No Added Sugar" range, do NOT contain Acesulfame K or Aspartame as I'm sensitive to both these artificial sweeteners. I've been trying to reduce my sugar intake and thought what I drank was a good place to start and would also help me drink more water. I am very annoyed that there is no mention of the change other than the different packaging and also that you've severely limited my water drinking options. So until you remove the Acesulfame K or make a Squash'd range with a more natural sweetener like stevia, I will no longer be buying them. I leave this review as a warning to anyone else who is sensitive to artificial sweeteners.
