Cod Liver Oil has been valued by generations as a natural source of vitamins and is highly recommended as a supplement - but many people dislike its distinctive flavour and find it hard to digest. Brand
Potter’s founded its malt extract business in 1908 and our Malt Extract continues to be just as popular today and is still manufactured in Wigan, but now it is made in a state-of-the-art factory. Serving generation after generation, Potter’s Malt Extract is one of the oldest Potter's recipes.
Potter’s Malt Extract is one of the oldest Potter's recipes. It is a traditional, nutritious and versatile malt extract which can be spread on bread and toast, added to cereals, used in place of refined sugar in baking and general cooking, or taken by the spoonful! The sugar in Potter’s Malt Extract is a barley malt extract, in the form of maltose, which converts to glucose during digestion. Glucose is stored as glycogen, which can be readily converted back to glucose for sustaining blood glucose levels and energy release.

I cant!
I used to have this daily as a child and LOVED it, so thrilled to spot it on Ocado. Unfortunately, Im clearly fussier as an adult, and the faint but very definite fishy flavour makes this hard to swallow - I just couldnt. Pleased to see others like it, but a big waste of money for me.

Horrible
I bought this as Ive heard its very nutritional but its the most disgusting thing Ive ever tasted. Ive literally been vomiting all morning from just a small portion on my breakfast toast. It smells like rotten fish & the oily tar consistency is horrible.

Spoonful of goodness.
Delicious and healthy. Been around for more years than I like to mention, but still has the same yummy taste. Even my grandchildren dip the spoon when they come over, had to get a pot for them to take home.
