History
Formed in 1997 when 17 small-scale producers banded together to create Sagrada Familia S.A. (Vinos Lautaro). Before this, producers were dedicated mainly to the cultivation of annual crops like corn and wheat, rather than viticulture. Workers did not have access to electricity, drinking water, or even have enough beds for all family members. Today, Lautaro Wines is a Fairtrade Enterprise formed of 23 associate shareholders and small scale suppliers.
Regional Information
Vinos Lautaro are based in Curicó in the Lontue Valley. 180 ha are planted in the farms surrounding the town of Sagrada Familia, which belongs to Lautaro associates and small scale suppliers.

Decent wine when on offer
Im reviewing this product because I received a free sample from Ocado. This is decent enough everyday wine when on offer. Needs to be opened at least an hour before drinking.

Worked well with beef roast
We were given this to review by Ocado. I had this with my roast. The flavours seemed a little bland but it made the meat very tender for my casserole.

Harsh
Used to like this, but lately been finding it a bit on the rough side.

Sour wine
Sour and thin wine, unfortunately not drinkable.

Ok with food, not alone
Tasted ok when drinking with food. Not nice to drink alone. Won't buy again.

well, we drank it
It was only drinkable, not enjoyable. Won't repeat. Much better wines about on this price point.
