Delicious
We loved this. It was a little doughy in the middle but we though that it was delicious. If it was cheaper it would be a regular purchase for us.
deliciously
this was lovely, not too sweet, enjoyed cold or warm, but fully defrosted in the fridge first
Impressive
Its impressive, especially for store-bought baked goods, but it needs care when cooking. Let it fully thaw in the fridge, and then microwave, for best results. Any attempts at messing with it before fully thawed would result in dense, dry texture. It packs a lot of fat in the middle, so its supposed to be very soft when properly heated. As a bonus, it comes with pretty much nothing but the basic baking stuff in its ingredients list.
Underwhelmed
Was expecting something that looked like the loaf in the picture, but on opening, it was a flat pastry twist about an inch and a half deep! The cooking instructions suggest it is already fully baked, and all you are doing is re-heating it in the oven or microwave. As people have said, it remains very dense and the middle layers are soggy and undercooked, probably because of the chocolate mixture. On the plus side, there is a lot of gooey chocolate but even my chocoholic partner said he prefers the texture of a pain au chocolat, or traditional brioche with chocolate spread, to this. Expensive and not worth it, in our view.
Tasty
Really enjoyed this. It's tasty, interesting and a nice change. Not huge but lots of chocolate and the nuts are great too.
