Preparation and Usage
1. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Salt the water (around ½tbsp per litre).
2. Cook the pasta in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes on a medium heat. Stir regularly to prevent sticking.
3. Whilst the pasta cooks, put the sauce in a pan and add 2-3tbsp (30-45ml) of the boiling pasta cooking water. Take care to ensure you squeeze all the sauce from the pouch. Gently heat until steaming and then turn off the heat.
4. Lift the pasta out of the water and transfer to the sauce, toss gently to coat.

Nothing special about this pasta
I really really wanted to like this. Two stars for convenience - it literally took less than 5 mins from fridge to the table. One star for nice quality pasta. But this is where good things end. The sauce was underwhelming. I dont mind it being slightly spicy, in fact it was the only nice thing about the sauce - otherwise under-seasoned, lacking in flavour and complexity. Few hard bits in the sauce added annoyance instead of interest. Just underwhelming and not gourmet at all. Pasta was nice as I said if cooked properly. Dont overboil it. But again I can get a pack of fresh pasta for much less at Ocado or elsewhere and just add my own homemade ragu, or even one of the nicer Italian ready made ragu sauces. The end result would be nicer not to mention significantly cheaper.
tastes lovely but too expensive
Packaging is also way too wasteful. Not possible to recycle most of it. Really good quality though and easy to cook.
Best tagliatelle
Tagliatelle tasted fresh and it was restaurant quality. Sauce wasnt spicy so I added chilli flakes. I also used some Parmesan at home.
Delicious!
This is I think 3rd or 4th time we got different Evangelists meals, got it on offer, absolutely delicious. Will consider paying full price on those occasions when don't feel like cooking or have a very busy weekend, but still would like to have home cooked meal experience.
Spirited away to southern Italy
My partner and I have fabulous memories of a trip to Calabria back in 2015, where the food is spicy and full of flavour. This dish is the closest I have felt to being back there. The sauce is so full of flavour and the spicy 'nduja sausage in it so savoury and lovely. I liked the little fresh pasta plaits it comes with as well. Divine!
Perfect for dinner and delicious!
I made this for dinner in about max 10 minutes and loved it! As I live alone I kept the rest for lunch and it was just as good the day after. Very flavourful with a good amount of meat and spice :)
