Brilliant idea. Execution not so much…….
It is a shame, because the concept is really good. However, I agree with others it is way too salty, so whatever you do don’t add stock water unless It is salt less. Also the recommended 15 minutes is not anywhere near enough to cook the rice, and I like my risotto rice really al dente. I would add another 10 minutes. I included more asparagus and used the unsalty asparagus water as my stock then drizzled a little olive oil and then added Parmesan shavings before serving. All in all, a very acceptable meal, rather too salty but tasty; however, you feel it could be so much better with a bit of fine tuning.
Inedible
So salty that is was inedible, and i can enjoy fairly salty foods. So one star. The scant asparagus was to be expected but nope, a disappointment.
We all love this product.
Great product, easy to cook and tastes delicious. You can eat it as it is or add more asparagus...
Ok
Does not really taste of asparagus
Easy supper, very tasty
I was worried this would be too salty after seeing other reviews, but was really impressed. My children commented on how nice it smelt whilst cooking and it didn't disappoint. I added mushrooms and a little bit of cheese. Will become cupboard staple for easy mid-week suppers :)
Too salty.
We couldn't eat this, it was far too salty, every mouthful was a strain to do and awful, so binned the lot. Shame.
