well worth trying!
A very smooth, comforting cream. Quite thick but not sticky. I found the coconut smell a bit overpowering at first but it soon wears off. My skin can become quite dry and this was perfect.
Nice product leaves skin feeling rehydrated and not greasy.
I thought this would be really greasy bit it's not at all. It sinks into my skin quickly and it's not at all sticky or shiny. I do usually try and buy more natural products like this one. The only small grumble I have is that the plastic lid split when I fastened it back on (maybe too tightly). I would like to see may be a metal lid given it ticks all the other eco, vegan, organic boxes.
A little bit of luxury.
I received this product free from Ocado for a review. In my late forties with a fairly abysmal skin care routine, I have to say this was a good few notches up from my Olay products, that’s when I remember to use them. A lovely coconut aroma_ don’t buy if you don’t like that scent !, the night cream feels a little oily on application but soon soaks into the skin. Certainly my skin feels a little more smooth and refreshed after using this for most evenings in the last few weeks. My inner skinflint would struggle to pay full price for this but I would definitely grab it if on offer.
Received free to review. I assumed that because of the extortionate price usually, that this would be a good and natural product. It is not. I was absolutely horrified to see that despite having natural claims and being made of coconut etc, there are several chemicals in here...including phenoxyethanol. This is a real problem for me as the current guidelines for this product are that ideally, skin should be washed clean of this chemical as soon as possible after contact according to the current European guidelines. Currently, there is a law against having more than 1% of this stuff in a product, while they try to ban it. The fact that many disposable baby wipes are sold with a promise of free of phenoxyethanol mean that staying clear of it is in fact a huge selling point. For me, a better alternative would be the Waitrose nappy balm as its all-natural and contains no chemicals at all. I would rather put that on my skin than this for sure!
It irritated my skin. Perfect for my husband.
I got this as a gift to try. I was really looking forward to it as I've been using natural and organic skincare for a number of years now. Unfortunately, I got a light burning sensation in my skin when applying it, although that went away fairly quickly, I gave up on it after the second application. I suffer from eczema -although not in my face-, so my skin is probably more sensitive than most people's. I gave it to my husband and he's super happy with it, he doesn't need much, the smell is lovely and more importantly, his skin has loved it. On a final note, I think the name 'Organic & Botanic' is a bit cheeky as there is no organic certification on the pack.
