My go-to everyday moisturiser
Been using this for over a decade maybe longer. I don't have particularly sensitive skin but I sometimes find other moisturisers sting a bit. I use a pricey premium sunscreen when I need higher protection but this is my everyday moisturiser. Sits well under makeup and although they changed the packaging a few years ago so you can no longer unscrew the top, you can easily cut the tube in half with normal kitchen scissors when it's nearly finished and get all the remainder out. I wouldn't consider using anything else because I like the consistency, scent and price so much.
Good quality product
I'm in my forties with fair combination skin which can be a tad sensitive. Although I've been generally lucky with the ageing process, I still have the odd breakout or shiny nose if I don't take care. Along with Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish and Skin Tonic, Nivea's Light Moisturising Cream is an essential part of my daily facial routine. Easily absorbed, this cream doesn't irritate or feel oily on my skin. This is a quality product with an unbelievably low price tag. The mild scent is pleasant enough and the SPF15 a bonus. Periodically, I buy 'luxury' brand moisturisers, chockfull of goodies, costing anything from £50 to £150. They may come in pretty packaging (well that's what you're paying for along with some clever marketing) but none of these has been as effective or as compatible with my skin as Nivea.
Absolutely love this day cream, it leaves my skin feeling well cared for but still fresh as the formula is so light. It absorbs really quickly and makes a great base for my makeup.
This is not so very light, in fact it's quite greasy, like a lighter Nivea cream. It's good for several reasons though. It's easy to pack for travel, is protective in harsh weather, and it smells nice. It does contain methylparaben.
Superb day cream
Having tried all manner of expensive face creams in the past, this is now my staple. Being of the age - no I'm not telling! - where I'm supposed to wear gloopy heavy creams with all manner of anti-aging promises, this light cream is far better. It moisturises but without being at all greasy, soaks in fast, and has the essential good UV protection. I'm not sure it would suit if you have very dry skin, but other than that I imagine it would work for all ages, and for me, it's the best.
I have oily skin and therefore do not need a heavy moisturiser and I find this cream is perfect for me. The SFP in the face cream really works and I have been sailing just using this cream in the UK and have not been burnt with fair skin. Its a nice cream to apply and keeps my skin looking and feeling good for a really great price. I combine it with the night cream which also works very well.
