too expensive got aprox 2dl beans.

Havent Tasted them yet but just few handfuls/2dl beans

I have grown these myself this summer and loved them but not had enough. Buying these has topped up my supply. I dont use them fresh. I left mine on the plant until brown then picked them and popped them and left them on the top of the boiler to dry out before cooking. I dried out these pods the same way until really dry then popped the beans and took out any dodgy ones and left the rest to dry hard and stored them. I cooked them in a similar way to other reviewers with bay leaves etc. then added them to slow cooked cherry tomatoes and lamb with rosemary. Truly delicious.

Mouldy pods doesn't matter!

A real treat. I simmer them with bayleaf, rosemary, chilli, garlic and lemon, then remove the herbs, mash with olive oil and some of the cooking water. Looks awful but tastes amazing! Slimey pods doesn't matter, and even the skin of the beans can be a bit brown, so don't throw anything away unless it's rotten inside the bean. Which tends to be just the tiddlers, I've never had to throw anything away.

Pricey but amazing

No contest, these are a different class to any bean we have ever bought. They don't come cheap but is one of the few Natoora ingredients we continue to buy at full price. Although these have always arrived fairly fresh, as with all fresh produce, best to plan to cook these within first couple of days. These take around 45 mins to cook to al dente in a sauce / stew. Delicious.

These make a lovely bean stew

I have bought two lots of these recently. The second batch was better than the first, which had quite a lot - as expected of Natoora - which had to be thrown away. Having said that, it should be noted that many beans are fine even when the shells are soggy and disgusting! Always check the insides before ditching them. I love these, following the Natoora recipe for a borlotti bean stew with some alterations, eg adding san marzano tomatoes, a whole pack of Ocado pancetta, small amount of white wine, chicken stock cube and 650gms of Charlotte potatoes. Turns out simply delicious.

Great, fresh beans, but a not of caution

These were fresh, delicious little beauties, BUT you really do need to use them by their use by date. I used them on the use by date and some pods were starting to mould/ turn an unsavoury shade of brown. I only had to throw away half a dozen or so beans (not pods) but I reckon if I left them until the next day the whole lot would have gone off. So, I would buy again, but make sure you plan to use them very soon after delivery.
