Not the Monin gingerbread syrup I know and love

I bought three bottles from Ocado in Nov 2023 and although I have only used the first one so far, it tastes nothing like it should. There is zero gingerbread taste; it just tastes like sugary syrup and not particularly sweet either. This is simply not the Monin gingerbread syrup that I have known and loved for years. It was so bad that I contacted Monin with the batch number. They said they were investigating but I heard nothing more from them. If it is not a faulty batch then I guess it has either been stored at the wrong temperature or has been reformulated by Monin and is a total failure. However, I note that in the review here dated 3 March the customer was completely happy with the taste and felt that it was of the same quality as a coffee shop. Mine bears absolutely no resemblance to the Monin gingerbread syrup that I used to have in coffee from Costa.

Strange!

This ones not for me. Doesnt taste much like gingerbread, and Id say it could do with being a bit sweeter. This might suit other people but it didnt bring the cosy-ness other gingerbread syrups have!
