Product information

Moillard Morgon is made from Gamay grapes. It is one of the most well-known Beaujolais vintages. The colour is a steady garnet red; the nose reveals complex aromas of cooked fruits and apricot. This is a charming wine.

Vinification Details
Vinification : Semi carbonic. The grapes are harvested when ripe, then sorted to remove any rot. Macerated in semi-open tanks for 8 to 10 days at a controlled fermentation temperature

Poor value

Morgon is normally the beefiest of the Beaujolais crus. This was thin and insipid. Poor value at the offer price (£10.50), would have been a complete ripoff at full price (£16.50). Plus, the cork was completely dry and broke when opening.
