Why Oh Why Cheapen A Good Product!
As other reviewers have mentioned M&S have ruined what has always been a good product. Smaller in size, more expensive and worse than that no cork lid which was there for a reason, TO HELP KEEP THE FRAGRANCE! Companies do themselves no favours when they take customers for fools!

Okay but not as a gift as there's no lid. It looks like it's incomplete. Odd.

Last time I bought this candle it had a cork lid. Couldnt give as a gift if no lid ! Also need to burn straight away else will get dusty .
the smell was ok
But a third of the candle left after the wick is burnt out. I do wish all candle makers would stop using jars this shape. Even the likes of Yankee have this problem too and it gets on my wick. Yes pun intended.
Loses its fragrance very quickly
I didn't look carefully enough at the illustration to realise that this candle, unlike most candles in a jar, has no lid - instead the top is just covered by a thin layer of cardboard. The result of this is that most of the fragrance had been absorbed into the atmosphere by the time I lit the wick. It smelt very pleasant for the first few hours, but soon afterwards the scent had disappeared almost completely. Yes, it burns for up to 70 hours but for about 65 of them it's unfragranced. Will not be buying again.
