This towel’s GSM rating is 550 GSM. GSM stands for grams per square metre and indicates the weight and density of the towel. M&S' towels range from 450-800 GSM.
At the lower end of the scale, 450-600 GSM signifies a lightweight towel: good value and quick-drying, with added benefits such as low-twist yarn to make them feel more like their heavier-weight counterparts.
At the higher end of the scale, 600-800 GSM signifies a heavier, more luxurious towel. The pile in these deluxe towels is denser and more lavish. Towels at the lower end of this range are great for everyday use, while those at the higher end resemble the towels you’d find in a luxury hotel.

Love the Bee Pattern
These towels initially were very pleasing to the eye and seemed good quality. However after several washes, appear quite hard and getting harder on each wash. The pattern is lovely so awarded the one star Dont recommend unfortunately
Really good quality
Ideal in the kitchen as so bright and cheerful you won’t be drying your hands on the tea towel as these just draw your eye. lovely soft and thick so good I’ve ordered two more to give as gifts.

Perfect kitchen size towels
Purchased in the sale. Lovely small hand towel, just perfect for my kitchen. Lovely quality and a splash colour/design. Couldn't be happier.
Soft and Sumptious
Brings a splash of colour to my towel collection. Great for kitchen hand towels, they won't get mixed up with the tea towels.. Nice in the bathroom too as guest hand towels.
Nice but
If you want a very small towel these are a lovely design and nice and soft. (Wash alone for first wash because they fluffed over the rest of the washing.) However I was expecting a normal sized hand towel for the bathroom and toilet, at less than half the size of other hand towels we have purchased on Ocado these aren’t really big enough unfortunately.
