Oven cook - From Chilled. Preheat oven.
Remove all packaging including foil.
Place on preheated baking tray.
200°C, Fan 180°C, Gas 6, 35 min

Tastes of treacle!

Like a lot of people, I've been waiting for supermarkets to start making pastry products without palm oil but this is not what I was waiting for! It tasted very odd. Eventually it dawned on me that the odd taste was black treacle. Why make beef pie with sugar and treacle? Bizarre. Also, the contents were mainly indistinct mush - no obvious mushrooms or other veg. The pieces of beef were small and rather hard. Thankfully only one small piece appeared to be some gristle your wouldn't want to eat. I bought this in a flash sale and thought it was a bit of a rip off even at that price. Edible and filing enough for two - but didn't taste like a normal beef pie at all.

Generous and tasty

We really enjoyed this pie. The pastry was good, the meat was generous and the gravy/ seasoning was tasty. A good size for two people with veg sides.

Incredible pie, bought it as part of the gastro meal deal - what an offer. I believe this could possibly be the best pie I have ever had the pleasure of eating in all my years.

Even my fussy son loved this!

This is top to bottom full of luscious beef, cooked to utter tenderness. My son is extremely fussy, he really wasnt looking forward to trying this and yet, he raved about it, claiming its changed his view on pies forever. Hes not a fan of pies that have a few lumps of beef and loads of thin gravy. If thats your jam, than dont buy this pie!
