Stodgy and sickly
Who on earth thought these were a good idea? If the doughnut had been light and fluffy with a fraction of the jam and 75% less sugar in the mix they might have been OK, but as it is they are vile.
Too much everything
Tried the Eton Mess and Lemon Curd varieties. Both were far, far too big and far, far too sweet. The pastry was too stiff and the icing just for show. The cream had squirted out all into the boxes so they were a real mess to begin with (maybe that was down to the delivery process). Anyway, the second cake of each kind went into the compost heap.
Too big
Nice tasting, but very sweet. I don't think they're too sweet. The problem is they're just too big. By the time I've eaten half, I need a nap! If these were half the size, I'd probably give 5 stars.
Actually not that good
Was looking forward to this, love Eton Mesd, but in reality this is to big, like a massive burger you can only get certain parts in your mouth rather than crunch down from top to bottom. Also too sweet and I have a sweet tooth and lastly didnt taste of Eton Mess, raspberry fondant not enough to add the raspberry taste. Anyway just what I thought, try for yourself and see what you think.
In date but wet and soggy
The top part was lovely but the bottom was wet and soggy, it was like the cream has broken down and turned to a liquid, The other one went straight in the bin as that was the same. waste of money, asked for a refund.
