Hope you like spitting out gristle...
I'm getting really sick of the drop in quality with these lately, this and a couple of others in the ready meals range have begun to include really poor quality cuts of meat I've had about half a dozen recently where I've almost gagged halfway through my dinner due to a large, inedible chunk of gristle/ cartilage being left in (with the chicken especially) or the 'meat' actually just being mostly fatty chunks congealed in a ball with a little meat in between (such as the bacon in the chicken and bacon pasta meal) As someone with little time to cook fresh meals often, I was willing to pay a little more to get decent quality, but what's the point of buying from M&S if you're going to get ASDA smart price quality? This has only happened in the last couple of months, so I assume they've changed where they make them/ have cut corners to increase profits -- pretty shameful to let QA drop this low when you're a brand that (should be) synonymous with quality I understand you're not going to get restaurant quality when buying ready meals, but including parts of the meat that most would consider waste is just ridiculous...
a definite favourite
This dish is really lovely. I dont know how others found that there wasnt much chicken?? It has plenty of chicken, plenty of taste and very filling, One of M & S s best!!
tasty
really enjoyed this lots of chicken nice bit of spice, pasta cooked just how i like it, would recommend
Tough chicken
This would've been a good meal for me, but the chicken pieces we're so chewy that it spoilt the meal as I was taking the chewy pieces from my mouth.Such a shame the rest of the meal was good
Good
I don’t eat a lot of ready meals but keep a couple on stand by just in case. This one is my favourite, I find the Chicken Arrabbiata to be tasty, the pasta and sauce are nice and it’s not too spicy or salty like others I have previously tried. Decent portion size and fresh, you can also actually taste the cheese in the sauce which I find lacking in other brands. I will definitely continue to buy when looking for ready meals.
Rapeseed OIl!
Another M&S item containing Rapeseed Oil. Come on M&S we expect better of you. We shouldn't be consuming this much rapeseed oil. Check labels, do the research!
