Enjoyed the flavour
I used this mince for a Bolognese style sauce, with lentils added to bulk it out for a few servings. It was nice and fresh, had a good colour and hardly smelled of anything when raw. I didn't have an issue with the texture - it's not like beef mince, but was soft and easily pulled apart to brown. Very tasty and I imagine a more sustainable alternative to beef.
Tasty and competitively priced
A response to ignorant moaners: Shrinkflation is inflation, created by your parliament (all parties) backing sanctions on Russia, that have hurt you whilst the Russian people have seen their economy grow (over 5% last month) & are enjoying low inflation. (below 3%). As for not enough for a meal: the maximum healthy meat per day is 75g...so 300g is enough for 4. £5 for 4 meals of healthy free-range (all deer are) - more than 20g protein & less than 4g fat/0.7g saturated per portion.
Sneaked in that size reduction!
Thought I could trust Ocado. The pack size has suddenly shrunk from 400g to 300g so 25% while the information continues to hide in the 3 for 12 offer. Very sneaky!
shrinkflation
This use to be 500 grams, then went to 400 grams now its 300 grams you cant even make a meal from it any more ridiculous they have gone too far
amazing
really tasty and SUSTAINABLE
Meat paste
It's so tightly packaged it comes out as meat paste instead of mince
