good box

I used this box for holding laundry gel capsules to keep them from getting wet. makes it tidier storage in the cupboard. buying another one for calgon tablets.

does not hold 5kg of rice

I mistook the reviewers claim that it holds 5kg of rice for the manufacturers description of a total volume of 5 litres. Inferior materials and design to other Lock and Lock products.

Fabulous rice storage boxes

I was looking everywhere for a suitable container to store bulk bags of rice. We eat different varieties so I wanted something to take a sack of each type separately. This is it! They are airtight so keep the rice fresh and everything else out and stack reasonably well. Best of all, these small ones take about 5kg of rice (depending on type, as rice grains vary in size). There is also a larger version which takes almost 10kg and I have these too. I have only ever had one which had a malformed lid, but this was sorted by Ocado. Highly recommended storage containers.

Disappointed

I love this brand but this product is disappointing. Firstly the shape means you don’t maximise storage - the slanty sides are wasted space. Secondly the position of flap door means you can’t store flour or sugar to the top as I’d hoped to do (it’s better for biscuits etc). Thirdly the click seals on so many angles are awkward to use.

Mine wasnt up to standard

Have lots of L&L boxes, they are really good and thought this would be an excellent addition but the angled top opening on mine was very flimsy and didnt want to close properly, and when it did it definitely wasnt airtight. Conversely the other flaps were! Disappointed as it wouldve been perfect for fridge.

perfect even store rice cakes

Bought two of these after a my two boys smashed one of my lovely oxo cubes while getting crackers. Wanted something child friendly, these are perfect. Can fit the large rice cakes in too which is great. Just have to make sure clipped properly when closed but easy to do, even for younger children. Will be buying more when we need.
