In my little knowledge of egg baskets from the description and being sold with Ocado I assumed this was for a carton of eggs. It is not big enough for a standard carton of 6 eggs. Are you meant to take the eggs out of the carton? How would they sit upright? I have always heard this is important when storing eggs. So is it meant to be used to go to the hen house and fetch fresh eggs? Your guess is as good as mine. I have returned it as a useless wire basket. I do not recommend unless you stay at a B&B in the country side and want to work at the local farm shop.
