All-butter shortcrust pastry with the best cuts of tender, slow-cooked British beef in a rich Sussex ale gravy, with baby onions and carrots, and hand-finished with an all-butter puff pastry lid, topped with cracked black pepper.
Storage:
Refrigerate your pie below 5°C, and eat it before the use by date on the top of this box. Or freeze it before the use by date and eat it within one month. Once defrosted, eat within 24 hours. Defrost it thoroughly before cooking - and don't refreeze.

this wasnt nice
It was possibly the most tasteless steak pie Ive had! I normally swear by Higgidy products, wont be buying again
good flavour
Bought this as a change from my usual brand and was pleasantly surprised with how nice it was. The pastry and filling were both delicious
Very Average
Shame as Higgidy was once a very good maker of pies... Very little filling and what there was tasted of nothing much really. Obviously, it was beef because of the colour of the filling but really uninspiring Heavily spiced with black pepper, which was the predominant flavour throughout. Not for me/us..
nasty taste imo
Maybe it was me but this pie had a nasty musty flavour. Did not like, could not finish. Pastry was good, and there was a good amount of filling so 2 stars
