Full of flavour
Received this to review and really enjoyed it! The spicy ginger gives it a deep warmth and the chocolate makes it taste really indulgent. It was a little stave having these flavours in a tea, but once I got used to it (which didn't take long!) it was delicious. I probably wouldn't buy again, due to the price, but it was great fun to try!
Red bush with a kick
I'll be honest—the thought of ginger and chocolate in a tea bag didn't fill me with excitement but as soon as I took the first bag out of the packet I was taken aback by the fantastic smell. Once brewed, the ginger came through more than the chocolate. I took mine with sugar and almond milk and then the chocolate scent came through. It wasn't a strong taste but I enjoyed it.
These were nice for a change with a good strong flavour of ginger. If you leave the bag in for a while you can taste the chocolate coming through but it is quite subtle. Can be drunk with a little milk or without. One star deducted because the string is quite short and the label falls into the mug. The packaging also doesn't make it clear if they are caffeine free or not?
Good alternative to usual tea and coffee
I got this free to review, but did not try it till today. I was very impressed with the packaging, but the word "tea" is in very small print and so it got unpacked into our biscuits and treats shelf, where it languished for 3 weeks! It takes some time to infuse and develops a pleasant ginger flavour over the minutes. I can't taste much chocolate though. It is quite a big pack, the tea bags work out about 20p each which is not too bad overall. We added honey and considered adding lemon, but this would overpower the tea bag flavour a bit. It might be a fun present for someone who doesn't like normal tea or coffee. It is certainly well presented, even in the packet rather than the box. We are not sure whether we would purchase again, but might if we get into the habit of drinking this.
A nice and warming ginger aroma coming through with a subtle but definite chocolate flavour. good with or without milk
Interesting combination of flavours
Surprisingly nice taste! The ginger flavour is dominant - can’t taste much of the chocolate. Great if you want something different to standard tea flavours.
