Cacao is best known as the main ingredient in chocolate. Cacao powder is very versatile, and many people add it to their diet when they crave a natural chocolate treat. Grown in South America, the cacao beans are fermented to enhance their rich flavour.
The natural fat (cacao butter) is then removed and the remaining cacao is delicately ground to form a rich powder.

Excellent
High quality organic cacao. I use it for smoothies, brownies (lovely recipe on reverse of packet) and hot chocolate. Excellent value, versatile and delicious
Smooth, but lacking flavour
Strangely empty taste
Errm
Chocolate taste is a bit weak but it’s ok for baking. Not sure about making a hot chocolate, I think you should use more as other reviewers well said! But regarding packaging that someone gave one star to the product I think we need to learn how to write a review! Reviews should be about quality and tatse and sometimes about the price as we see prices clearly with our own eyes there shouldn’t be too much complaining about it unless what we receive doesn’t satisfy us with the price we paid . Some of the Ocado’s item that are ambients are coming from a different warehouse and they should be sealed and labelled so they can manage the deliveries! Those items are bagged in a recycled plastic bags and you can recycle them again. At the end of the day, plastics are still widely use when we need them! Ok? You cannot get rid of all plastic at once! We need to learn to recycle! These things are for a purpose! So I am happy that ocado for this purpose is using recycled plastic and I know how to recycle.
Shame on Ocado for delivering this in plastic bsg
Why on earth does Ocado deliver this product inside a sealed separate plastic bag??? I usually buy cocoa from zero waste shop but they were out of stock. it shocked me to receive this plastic package inside another plastic bag. Such waste and irresponsible behaviour Ocado!!! Will never order again just because of that.
Really good organic cocoa!
Only use this organic cocoa, proved so many times the quality and great taste
Tastes off
I bought this in the past and it was fine. However, the last big I got tastes somehow off: bland and musty, like soil.
