Delicious!
I have no intolerance to gluten. I just bought them on the off chance as Im fed up with commercial products that taste the same. Im glad I did. For me this is how a Bakewell should be. I reckon these will continue to get mixed reviews because a lot of people expect a Bakewell to have a cherry and icing on top and that overpowering awful almond essence flavour (thinking of a well known manufacturer of bakery products here). If thats what you like then you probably wont like this. However if you like the more traditional Bakewell, with the frangipane made from ground almonds (instead of pumped with almond essence), with a jam layer and a crunchy case around it, then you will probably love these. I used to go to a tea shop years ago and they served Bakewell like this. I have never found anything close to it since, but this product is very close. The fact its gluten free and I dont need gluten free, but would choose this over a gluten product is the biggest compliment I can give.

Im not coeliac. I was looking for some individual tarts or cakes & found these. I love Bakewell tarts so thought Id give them them a try. 2 or 3 packs will be on my order in future. They are frozen so can be stored but dont take long to defrost.

More like a traditional Bakewell Tart with no icing, such a treat as I haven't found these anywhere else.

Loved these. Cannot tell they're gluten free. Although not like a typical Bakewell Tart with icing, many Bakewells are baked like this. I actually liked the consistency and flavour, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Bakewell tarts are one of my favourite deserts. I would recommend these

Liked the flavour but a little dry good to have in freezer
Hard pastry
I was disappointed with these. The pastry was hard and they didn’t resemble a Bakewell tart. The filling was just sponge with no resemblance to frangipan which it should be. Tiny amount of jam. Won’t buy again.
