Product information

For our Cabernet Sauvignon, we turned to the Sonoma Country region that's most renowned for the grape, Alexander Valley. In the warm, sun-drenched days and cool, crisp nights, our Cabernet Sauvignon ripens slowly, developing its signature rich, complex character and classic fruit notes of blackberry, blueberry and plum.

Tasting Notes
Opens with aromas of fresh damp earth, cigar box and ripe plum, framed by hints of tea leaf and toasted oak. Juicy flavours of blackberry, black cherry, black currant and tea leaf culminate in a complex finish with soft, fine-grained tannins.
History
Established in the Dry Creek Valley over 125 years ago, Frei Brothers is part of the fabric of Sonoma County. At Frei Brothers, we craft our acclaimed, award-winning wines by selecting the right grapes grown in the right places within Sonoma County's premier growing regions, then showcasing the pure varietal character of each variety. As we are inspired by the culture and stunning beauty of Sonoma County, we are deeply appreciative of our responsibility to preserve it for generations to come.
Regional Information
At 22 miles in length running North-South with 15,000 acres of vineyards, Sonoma County's Alexander Valley appellation lies east of the Dry Creek Valley. It encompasses the sandy plain of the Russian River, as well as the slopes of the mountains separating Alexander Valley from Napa Valley. Alexander Valley experiences very warm daytime temperatures, yet benefits from the maritime influence bringing cool nighttime temperatures.

Outstanding Cab

Really excellent, so smooth it doesnt taste strong at all (although it is!). Considerable range and depth of flavour, would bear up well against £30 bottles. Top notch.

Goes down well

Had this at my sisters and loved how easy it was to drink. Such a nice taste, not too overpowering. Had to order mine when I got home!

Our current favourite red

We absolutely love this wine and it is our current favourite. Its a rich, smooth red and particularly nice with a roast beef or steak, but we also drink it on its own as an evening red.

Nice Table Wine

Not quite as good as their Chardonnay also available on Ocado and lacked a bit of depth unlike that Chardonnay. Definitely better than many other Cabernet Sauvignon's options we have tried from Ocado.

Good California Cabernet

Lovely Cabernet, some complex oak undertones and gets better after a day or two.
