Bad batch?
We have bought these before and eflt they were worth the price. This time is is definitely a no! Some of the anchovies were so large the bones became stuck in our teeth and one almost stuck in at the back of my mouth. We did not finish them.
Perfect in every respect!
Succulent, plump, firm anchovy fillets with a glorious flavour - the depth of flavour and texture are outstanding. They retain their texture during cooking and don't fall apart. I especially love that they are in organic cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, are sustainable and in a glass jar. Perfect in every respect!
Weirdest anchovies ever
Simply not a patch on the Delicious anchovies I usually buy. Glad I got them with a £3 off Voucher - certainly not worth £6. Poor flavour, pasty texture, leave you with a furry mouth. Awful. And the lid on the jar is a real pest!
Uneven flavor doesn\x27t go a long way
I'm used to anchovies being super flavorsome, these were not. There were bites of high flavor, but it was uneven. Also, while there were no problems in transport, the lid comes off in one piece, doesn't screw of which mean I couldn't close it properly after that.

I am reviewing this product because I was sent a free sample from Ocado..I like that the packaging is glass and that the anchovy fillets are whole and not too salty. I made a Pissaladiere , a puff pastry tart topped with softened onions , olives and these anchovies , Delicious....A little expensive though.
