Rose scent is underwhelming
As a previous review has commented, the Rose scent is ‘not heavenly’. I completely agree with that. If you have smelt pure rose essential oil, you will be know what it could be, however that would no doubt make it much more expensive than it is. There’s an initial scent of something before the rose that is unpleasant and sorry to say, almost vomit like, rendering it unusable for me. It could be the way the palm, coconut, olive and jojoba oil are interacting with the rose but it’s very off putting . I would rather they use geranium and another cheaper flower to bring it to a higher quality fragrance than this. I’m not particularly bothered by the liquid nature but the scent makes it a disappointing purchase for me. The green tea is preferable but not perfect either. Wish I could be more positive as their premise is a promising one.
very concentrated...lovely smell
Really like this. Will try the others in the range.. A few drops will make a lovely lather..
Bought on special offer and now buying more. Subtle rose aroma, good lathering and wholesome product. Wish Ocado would stock larger bottles.
Not all purpose
I thought this might be a nice all purpose low-additive product - been hearing about Dr Bronner for years. However, I've been using it to wash hair and body and don't much like it. The fragrance is fine but not as heavenly as some rose fragrances can be. The product leaves me feeling somewhat sticky rather than moisturised. It's unpleasant enough that I have stopped using the product and will have to ponder some of the other uses. I did find it very economical to use by diluting it in a clean used Method foaming handwash bottle.
love this soap
This soap is great. It smells lovely and is so economical because you only need a couple of drops. I didn't feel the need to race for the hand cream after using it, because my hands didn't feel dry. Yes, the writing on the bottle is bizarre but it's in such tiny print that you have to be in the bathroom for a long time before you even attempt to read it :D. It does say on the bottle that it is not suitable for use in pump dispensers, so I just use it straight from the bottle.
Smells good and great for sensitive skin
I bought three soaps to try while on offer and unlike previous reviewers was very happy with them. Castille soap is runny because it doesn't have chemical thickeners in it, and I found the rose and lavender fragrances lovely, much stronger than the usual organic or "natural" products I normally use for my chemical-sensitive skin. Will be buying again. Yes, the religious wording is strange but you don't have to read it.
