Important feeding and storage advice
- Make up each feed as required.
- For hygiene reasons, do not store made-up feeds, discard unfinished feeds as soon as possible, and always within 2 hours.
- Do not heat in a microwave, hot spots may occur and cause scalding.
- Never add extra scoops or anything else to your baby's feed.
- Never leave your baby alone during feeding.
How to use this pack
To open, remove strip and lift lid.
A scoop is provided in this pack, please store inside the lid.
Click the lid securely shut.
How to prepare your baby's milk
Because powdered milks are not sterile, failure to follow instructions may make your baby ill.
1 Wash hands and sterilise all utensils according to manufacturers' instructions.
2 Boil 1 litre of freshly run water.
Leave kettle to cool for 45 minutes and no longer. Measure the required amount of water (refer to feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle. Be careful of scalding. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water.
3 Using the scoop provided, level off the powder with the built-in leveller. Do not press/heap the powder.
4 Add the correct measure of powder to the water (1 scoop to 30ml / 1fl.oz of water). Adding too many or too few scoops can be harmful. Place the sterilised teat and cap on the bottle and roll upright between the palms of your hands - roll it strongly for 5 seconds. The time between adding the scoops and rolling the bottle should be as short as possible.
5 Shake bottle for 20 seconds and then leave to stand for 7 minutes to allow it to thicken. Check temperature of feed. Feed immediately.

too thick consistency causing constipation
We tried this milk for our 2week old baby after the health visitor recommended it as she kept throwing up the first instant formula. The consistency becomes very thick (and you also have to wait 7mins for the milk to set before you can give it). Long story short it has caused a lot of constipation to the little one so it didnt work for us. It may work for older babies when they are weaning or for babies that do not put on loads of weight on but I would not recommend it for babies that may be prone to constipation. I just wish there was a smaller package for parents to try before buying the huge box.
So thick
Made using the perfect prep machine, it's SO thick like PVA glue, impossible for my 6wk old to suck through a teat causing her to get very upset. Powder only dissolves properly after a lot of shaking and then it's so frothy at the top and slimey thick by the end of the bottle. Tried Cow & Gate comfort and it's so much better and really improved our baby's reflux.
Best of a bad lot
We tried three anti reflux formulas for one of our twins - none of them were perfect but this was the best and least expensive. All anti reflux formulas we tried thickened too much and clumped, even if following instructions exactly. I eventually ran the hot and cold water through the prefect prep machine, then added this powder and used a fast flow teat and it worked.
Life saver
This is an amazing product which helped my daughter finally keep her feeds down. 3 weeks after birth she was not gaining weight and almost every feed would come up. If it wasn't for my midwife reccomending it i don't know what i would have done. The water does need to be super warm in order for it to dissolve properly. Do not wait more then 10mins after powder in the bottle as it will turn very thick.
Impossible to use
Require a fast flow teat and even using that there was a lot of foam that was obstructing the holes. Forget preparing the bottle in advance, after 30 mins the formula becomes incredibly thick and impossible to suck for the baby causing unnecessary crying. Even if it reduce the reflux is not worth the pain..
