National Trust CJ Wildlife Seed Peanut Cake 300g
£2.70
£9 per kgProduct information
These high energy nut cakes with seeds make an ideal treat for all year round feeding. These cakes are made from a combination of fats and highly nutritious peanut flour meaning they have a higher food value than most comparable products. They give the birds the ideal energy boost they need particularly on cold winter nights and during the breeding season. As this product is soft it's ideal for young fledglings.

Starlings love this!
Always buy this for local starlings and their family that pass by. Doesn’t last long. Hungry customers.
TERRRIBLE
BIRDS DID NOT LIKE
birds love this
Have been buying these for a long time and unlike fat balls the birds love them. I keep them in the fridge until Im ready to use them. I dont put them into a square cage because the squirrels just demolish them. I use a squirrel proof fat ball feeder, and slice cake into chunks and put into the feeder ( easy when its cold out of fridge).
Melted to the tray
Wanted this for the feeder but it was solid in the tray with no way to get it out as it was creamy hard more than solid so no way useable
Melts
Not sure what has gone wrong with these recently. I have always relied on them for my birds but the ones I have bought recently have been so soft and melted that most of the fat stays stuck to the tray! I would still buy them but if the makers read this, please do put this right!
Increased avian visitors to my garden!
This is the best fat cake I have tried out in my garden. The birds LOVE it. I've seen robins, tits and blackbirds nibbling at it and today I saw some starlings visit my garden for the first time ever... to eat this! It will be keeping stocked up on it!
