Smalll but efficient
and it fits into my narrow fridge door, too. I find it easy to grip despite arthritic hands, so the lack of handle has not been a problem. It is fine for a 2 person household as we do not want to have too much water stored in the fridge.
This is Not a Jug. It has No Handle.
If you are considering this water filter be aware that the container is Not a Jug. There is no handle. When full, the whole thing would weigh around 2kg, which would not be easy to lift with one hand. I bought this for my elderly mother, as it has a small capacity. The description did not make it clear that there's no handle. I have had to ask to return it, as she could not use it. It may only be £12, but it should still be fit or purpose.
We needed filter jug for coffee machine as the tap water in Herts is very hard. Jug is small but I knew that, bought it for £12 so cant complain. It is hard to grip when full and heavy. The lid seems to work, I dont have much Brita experience.
Not a family item
This jug, although it has the same overall capacity as my old one, needs topping up twice to make a pot of tea for 4 as the internal hopper section is much smaller than the previous jug. So although you CAN filter 1.5 litres, it is NOT from one filling of the top section. It is also a little top heavy as the plastic is more like "tupperware" material than the previous jugs. My mother has trouble gripping the jug when it is full as it has no handle, so she needs to use two hands for steadying and pouring. Suits a household of one or two, but not a family who frequently hydrate!
Nice size for the fridge, easy to use and looks good
Cost efficient and better than buying plastic bottle water.
