great product, misleading product description
I had an epilator 20 years ago and had swapped to waxing. Received this to review & pleased to report much improved from my previous model. Easy to use, great results on legs. As good results as waxing and easier. As previously written, the product description of cordless & wet is misleading.
As other reviews have mentioned this is not cordless which is a big downside for me. It's not all bad though - I like that it has a shaver attachment and comes with a cooling pad.
Yes it can be painful but the results are worth it. Love that it has a light and that it comes with so many different attachments.
Great and not as painful as expected!
I was expecting this to be a painful experience but it wasn't half as bad as I expected. I used to use an epilator years ago and have to say this is a big improvement. It gets less painful the more times you use it. The packaging and extras are all great as well. Neat. Saves on buying razors with lots of packaging as well.
This is great. Does the job. But very painful.
a very effective multi-function space-saving tool
I had never used a power epilator before. I did not know they even existed! A pair of good quality tweezers was my tool of choice for the removal of unwanted hair. Over-packaging is bad for the environment, so I welcomed the neat, small cardboard box that housed the small epilator with all its bits and pieces. But the design of the box renders it unsuitable for storing so I need to find a suitable box, or I am bound to lose an accessory or two. The electric flex is not permanently attached to the appliance, so I assumed it needed charging, like an electric toothbrush or shaver. But there was no mention of charging in the instructions. I finally cottoned on that it needed plugging in to work. This is obviously a space-saving feature, as is the continental style two-pin plug. Fortunately the bathroom is equipped with a built-in socket for two-pin electrical appliances. I found the on off switch a little bit fiddly, so it could be a problem for people with reduced mobility. I decided to put it through its paces with the small amount of hair that grows at the corners of my mouth. It did a grand job, but it caused a lot of pain, even though the amount of skin irritation and redness was minimal. According to the instructions, the pain will subside with repeated use. To sum up, it is a very effective multi-function space-saving tool which deserves 4 stars.
