Brilliant pale yellow hue, floral, slightly smoky aromas, rich first taste, mineral, very persistent.

History

Located in northern Burgundy near Auxerre, the Chablis vineyards are alongside a small river aptly named: the Serein ("Serene").

Regional Information

The Chablis region is a limestone plateau cut by valleys. The Premier Crus lie on a stratum dating from the Kimmeridgian (155 millions years BC) with alternating
marl and limestone and tiny deposits of oysters in the rock, reminiscent of the warm and shallow sea which then covered Burgundy

Vinification Details

Traditional vinification. The grapes are pressed on arrival at the winery using pneumatic presses. The fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks thermo-regulated at 16°C.
The wines are aged on fine lees for 9 months in stainless steel.

Good Chablis

This is a good crisp clean and tasty Chablis to buy when on offer. I enjoy it watching Super Sunday. As the song goes "Just another Chablis Sunday woah woah" That's my fun day!

Pleasant but overpriced

Very drinkable but lacklustre. Just very light and lacking in character. It went well with crab pasta but on its own there was just nothing to it. Definitely not worth £21, not really worth £15 - there are much more interesting wines at that pricepoint.

nice, but not wow

I liked it, but I definitely wouldnt pay £21. I had paid £15 which felt overpriced. Have had way better Chablis. I wouldnt buy this one again as it would never be a price I deem worth it. So whilst I did enjoy it, for a nice glass of white, Ive given 3 stars purely on the price not matching the taste and usual quality of Chablis.

Superb

I had a £10 off voucher from ocado and used it to buy a bottle of this. The downside is you get what you pay for and this is so superb even at the £21 price point I'm about to reorder. The wine is fresh in the mouth but also with a good depth of flavour. It perhaps lacks just a bit of minerality at the end All in thoroughly recommended
