Not good
Waste of money,
lovely Keto bread.
Very tasty low carb bread with no nasty ingredients. Perfect for my Keto diet. I processed the ingredients for three minutes in my Magimix and baked the resulting firm dough as instructed. It didnt rise much and was quite dense but stayed in slices when baked and cooled and cut up. I froze the resulting slices. Lovely toasted with peanut butter or mashed avocado.
Tastes disgusting
So disappointed, I wasted 4 duck eggs and butter making this together with £5 for the mix and all the washing up after making it and then it tasted absolutely disgusting. I think maybe too much baking soda? I made it late in the evening and the next morning it is green on the top, looks mouldy but that can't be possible after only a few hours. I dont want to wast it so eating it with strong tasing patent it's just about tolerable.
One star based on price
Over £10 for the bread, when the other keto mixes with the same weight are at least two thirds cheaper? Whoever cooked up the offer on this is hitting the wacky tabaccy because even at buy one, get one half offI wouldnt buy this considering the amount of negative reviews.
Better to make your own
Doing keto for a while I normally bake my own bread from lupin flour or psyllium but thought I'd give this a try for a change. How disappointing - dry and crumbly and more like a cake in flavour than bread. And worst of all, with 5.6g net carbs per slice is this really even keto!? That's more than half my daily net carbs allowance in just one slice! Ridiculous. So I still haven't found a good premade bread mixture. Aah well. To anyone on keto I can only recommend doing a bit of search - there's lots of recipes out there for various breads from different flours whichever you fancy. Much cheaper, tastier, lower carb and certainly healthier than most if not all ready made mixes including this one.
more cake tasting than bread
Tried this as it looked similar to a version on a keto social media site and thought this would save buying all the different ingredients. This is similar BUT it tastes more of cake than bread. I love a seeded loaf but this just has an odd taste to it.
