Great flavour and cooks easily
This rice which is a mix of 66% Long Grain Brown Rice, 28% Red Rice and 6% Wild Rice tastes gorgeously nutty and besides being filling and easy to cook is healthy and comes in a fully compostable bag! The cook8ng time suggested is 30-35 mins, of course hobs vary but I bring it to the boil then gently simmer for 27 mins then turn off the heat and without removing the saucepan lid leave it until I’m ready to stir it into my other (cooked) ingredients. (Often red peppers, spinach, cashew nuts, garlic, fresh ginger and chives. Or Prawns, half a tin of plum tomatoes, garlic, ginger, chives, flat leaves parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice.) We are greedy so use half a packet per meal - that’s £2 at full price, but if you stick to veggie additions it is still a cheap meal.
Good product
We buy this often, I like the product for the combination of Red and Long grain rice. I make a salad with this rice and chickpeas and always get compliments from guests.
