Good
I've used this for years on very long hair as it's good for my sensitive skin
Not as pleasant as the shampoo
I tried this alongside the Avalon Organics Peppermint Shampoo. The conditioner is far less pleasant to use, as it is very thick - almost like putty - and doesn't go on the hair very easily. It also doesn't smell fresh or zingy like the shampoo, but more like very old chewing gum. Having said that, my hair is happier, thicker and softer after using both the shampoo and conditioner, so it is clearly doing something right!
Unusual conditioner
I bought this with open eyes as I'd read the other reviews. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of use I'm on the 'doesn't work very well' side of the fence. Perhaps my hair is healthier, I don't know. But I do know it's more tangled and coarser than I think it's ever been. Even applying it is a challenge: use too much and it doesn't come out, use less and you may as well not condition at all.
The worst conditioner ever
So thick and drying - impossible to get off your hair but somehow manages to make it super sticky. Had to wash my hair again after work just to get it off. This is the second time I've tried it and never again!
Review response
Dear MinnieMoose, We are sorry you have been having trouble with this product. We've contacted the supplier and they have the following response to your review. It sounds like too much product may be being used per application. Using too much product can be very drying to the hair, and could also explain why hair has been left with a sticky feeling. My advice would be to use a 50p sized blob for long hair, or even less for shorter hair, and apply from the midlengths to ends of hair, combing through well. Leave for 1 to 3 minutes as suggested in the directions before rinsing thoroughly. As with all natural conditioners, it does take longer to rinse off due to the fact there are no chemical rinse aids to help remove product.
Not for me
This product left my hair feeling dry and coarse, won't be trying it again.
Nice and Minty but don't use if you're in a hurry
Great for reviving a sleepy head in the morning as it is very minty and really tingles the scalp. Whether I used too much at a time or not, I'm not sure, but I found,as I have long hair, it took ages to wash it out completely as it is very thick and the first time I used it I obviously didn't wash it out enough and it left a chalky residue on my hair. Used properly, it made my hair lovely and soft and minty-fresh all day!
