Aberlour A'bunadh Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky 70cl
£100
£142.86 per litreProduct information
The Aberlour A'Bunadh is a unique cask strength whisky that has achieved cult status among whisky connoisseurs, each batch is carefully made by hand. Created using only traditional methods without chill filtration or other modern processes, the result is a heavier, creamier single malt than most have ever experienced: memorably flavoursome, with an intense raisin character. It is bottled at cask strength resulting in a robust and deeply intense, sherried whisky.
Won Gold at the International Wine & Spirits Challenge 2021.

Not worth it
There are better options out there even at 30% off (70.00). It's lacking the depth of flavour expected at this price.
Whisky great \- price not
I used to buy this all the time for £36(ish) a bottle. Then all of a sudden the price went into orbit. It's a lovely drop, but it's not comfortable at this price point. Lost this customer for sure.
Sherry-packed to the Rafters
A'bunadh is an absolute sherry-bomb, particularly in its cask-strength delivery at almost 60% abv, so you need to approach the first sip with determination ahead of adding some distilled water for the main event. It you like this style, and I do, then the quality is right up there. However I've given it less than 5/5 because in this segment I think Glenfarclas 105 does the cask strength trick even better, and at a significantly lower price than Aberlour. GB
Mad price hike
Was fairly priced and good back in the day but the new price is sheer greed. Avoid.
Too high a premium for a cask strength offering
The Aberlour 10myear old has the best bench mark for their fine whisky - but the A'Bunadh cask strength bottling does not justify the crazy high hike. The taste is good hence the second star. The product and price are poorly matched
Shocking Price Hike
Pernod Ricard must have decided they're selling too much of this to increase the price by something like 70% almost overnight. It's not as if the latest product is any different or better than the old. It's the same stuff but has a silly price. Ocado need to start stocking Glengoyne Cask Strength, Glendronach Cask Strength, Tamdhu Batch Strength or Glenfarclas 105 which I believe are still at a fair and reasonable price because otherwise they won't be selling much of he Abelour at this price.
