The tomatoes are picked and packed while the sun is still warm on their skins!

Passata can be used to prepare sauces. Try simply frying chopped garlic in olive oil and adding the passata for a simple but delicious classic Tomato Pasta Sauce or them add red chilli to create a spicy Arrabbiata Sauce. Also idea for lasagne or any other dish that calls for tomato passata or chopped tomatoes.

i have tried several passate and this is the best I have found, smooth, tasty and versatile. perfect size too

bonne maman equivalent of the jarred sauces

Discovered this brand at a supermarket whilst in Italy last summer and oh my its the Bonne Maman of the Tomato Passata and ready made pasta sauce - incredible taste - the children and the rest of the family love it! Not much to add to this passage for a truly sublime sauce just some onions, garlic and a hint of oregano & basil with boiled pasta - brilliant easy supper!

I’m a bit of a tomato obsessive and will try anything I see that looks quality or authentic, especially if made in Italy. This was nice, but could not taste the difference between cheaper versions. The quality seems good but it seems you are paying for the packaging and branding as the taste is on parr with its competitors.

Fantastic!

Purchased this for the first time when it was on offer. The depth of colour as soon as I opened the jar was fantastic! Reminded me so much of the homemade versions we use when in Italy with family - when travel rules allow. The taste is great. I used it to make a quick tomato and chilli pasta. As the previous reviewer has said, the ingredients are good - nothing added other than tomatoes and some salt. This Italian family certainly gave this a big thumbs up. Will definitely be purchasing regularly from now on. Would love this to be stocked in a larger size too.
