Tasting Notes
Clean and bright with cherry-red tones. The nose is complex and intense with sweet notes of vanilla and cocoa, along with matured fruit character and a touch of cedar and spice. Pleasant on the palate and well structured with good tannin.
History
For years, portraits by Rembrandt and El Greco, and of Gluck the composer have gazed out of Faustino bottle labels. Their art has been the inspiration of one of Spain's greatest family owned bodegas since 1861. From growing its own vines, to vinification and bottling, Faustino aims for the highest control over production so you can be assured of quality wine every time.
Regional Information
Faustino vineyards are in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa region, between the towns of Laguardia and Oyón. The excellent qualities of the clayey-calcareous soil in these winegrowing areas, together with an ideal microclimate, afford the grape varieties that grow on the vineyards - Tempranillo, Graciano, Mazuelo and Viura - unbeatable added distinguish quality value.
